HPX-1600-SS Multiservice Access

The HPX-1600-SS is a global solution for STM-1/OC-3 SDH and SONET multi-service access applications. Delivering a wide range of Ethernet, E3/DS3, E1/T1, serial data, and voice services in a powerful, yet compact, 1RU package, the HPX-1600-SS offers the ultimate in flexibility. The HPX-1600-SS supports up to 16 hot-swappable line Interface Modules with 2 reserved for optical trunk interfaces and up to 14 available for a combination of voice, data and Ethernet tributary circuits. The SS delivers integrated SDH or SONET transmission on dual 155Mbps fibers for ring, linear, and point-to-point topologies with automatic protection (MSP 1+1, SNCP). Impressively suited to a range of applications, the HPX-1600-SS is an ideal CPE device for Broadband Ethernet and TDM, a Digital Access Cross Connect Switching (DACS) to 1024x1024 DS0, a mid-stream grooming element, and a voice and data channel bank.

HPX-1600-IA Integrated Access

The HPX-1600-IA is a voice and data multiplexer that combines digital access cross connection, channel bank and transmission functionality in order to provide powerful grooming and cross connect capabilities across fiber, E1/T1, Ethernet, serial data and voice services in a compact 1RU form factor. An integrated Digital Access Cross Connect Switch (DACS) ensures maximum bandwidth utilization by enabling DS-0 grooming by way of the HPXView Element Management System, which provides a graphical, drag and drop interface for unprecedented ease of configuration and monitoring. The HPX-1600-IA has 16 Interface Module slots, supporting an extensive range of voice, data and Ethernet Interface Modules.
