The HPXView Element Management System is a Windows-based application that communicates with the HPX-800 via front panel USB. In addition, the integrated management router can extend the reach of the existing IP management network using SONET/SDH DCCs. Through HPXView, the HPX-800 supports concurrent SNMP management with Syslog monitoring and reporting.

Cross connecting Ethernet and/or T1/E1 tributaries is simple using the included HPX DACS configuration tool. The switch fabric is full duplex and non-blocking. Ethernet LCAS groups can simultaneously aggregate virtual circuits from both the working and protection trunks, increasing available bandwidth for Ethernet.

HPXView is a powerful and intuitive tool that enables management of a network comprising local and remote units. The same tool used to manage Haliplex's class leading HPX-1600 series, HPXView is a rapid and easy service provisioning tool that provides fault detection, monitoring, configuration, and real-time status display. HPXView features a real time visual display of node status, and gathers performance and fault statistics from all connected HPX-800 or HPX-1600 platforms. HPXView is compatible with Microsoft Windows® 98, NT, 2000 and XP.

In a departure from the conventional command line management approach, Haliplex's intuitive graphical user interface, HPXView, empowers operators to realize the full market potential of their service with the economy of remote management and diagnostics. Windows-driven and compatible with concurrent SNMP software, HPXView also includes Haliplex's Digital Access Cross Connect Switch (DACS). HPXView features real time visual display of front panel status, performance and fault statistics, and the Configuration Backup and Restore functionality lends itself to a "cookie-cutter" approach to configuring and managing multiple nodes.
