Haliplex Pty Ltd, a leading manufacturer of innovative network edge Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) products, has announced the appointment of Michael Baccala to the role of Vice President, Worldwide Sales.
Michael joins Haliplex from PRISMIQ, Inc. where, he was responsible for new market-development for a wireless, MPEG-video set-top box as Director of Telecommunication Industry Sales. Prior to PRISMIQ, Michael was VP and CTO at Technology Bridge Group, Inc. And prior to TBG, he led an award-winning team as Director of International VoIP Technical Sales at Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs Innovations. He also held a number of positions at Ascend Communications, Inc., where he excelled in management positions in International Sales, Customer Support, Systems Engineering, Access Product Management, and Product Engineering.
Michael will be based out of California, USA and will lead the Haliplex global sales team while addressing the edge access requirements of private fibre operators, service providers, and fixed wireless telecommunications operators.
Having dedicated many years to the application of “bleeding-edge” technology in engineering, medical research, and data communications arenas Michael brings a wealth of practical experience and industry relationships to Haliplex.

Michael’s education includes studies in electrical engineering and life sciences at Wayne State University in Detroit. In his spare time, he is also a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and Volunteer Coordinator of the Solano County Emergency Services Response Team in Northern California, USA.
