Haliplex Pty Ltd, specialist in state of the art telecommunications transmission technology, continues to thrive in the Asian technology market place. Since the formal launch of the company in April this year, Haliplex has developed a strong following locally but a staggering fan club overseas.

The company has a total of15 resellers throughout Asia. "The Asian economic recovery has resulted in an overwhelming frenzy of activity in the telecommunications market in all Asian communities," said Alan Kepper, Haliplex President.

Haliplex attended the Singapore tradeshow, CommunicAsia, in early June where the genuine sales and reseller opportunities surprised the organisation which was hard pressed to deal with all the enquiries and sales orders. "It was incredibly successful. We had prospective resellers lining up five deep to leave their name and details," said Kepper.

Haliplex claims that it is the only vendor designing and manufacturing optical networking (ON) solutions in the Southern Hemisphere. The company currently offers two leading edge communications products to the market. The HPX-600 ON multiplexer and the HPX-300 channel bank multiplexer. The HPX-300 lends itself to the channel market due to its entry price point (approximately $5,000) and reduced complexity compared to the HPX-600.

Continuing to take advantage of the activity and renewed enthusiasm in telecommunications uptake of the Asian region, Haliplex is attending AsiaComm in Bangkok in September. "We will continue to build on the brand at this event, focusing on both resellers and direct customers. The tradeshow will open up new markets in the Western regions of Asia for us."

Haliplex will be launching its new product, the HPX-616 at AsiaComm. The company's new generation platform completes its SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and SONET (Synchronous Optical Networking) product line. The new product allows organisations to build 2.5GBPS optical backbones.

"Today's switches continue to struggle in delivering what the digital economy demands," said Kepper. "Traditional suppliers of multiplexer technology are not upgrading their technology or delivering open systems for greater interoperability. Our lead product, the HPX-600 multiplexer has a footprint a quarter the size of the smallest competing product, is one half the price and allows for multi-vendor operability."
