Bayly Communications Inc. has chosen Haliplex to bring converged networks to life with its Multi-Service Provisioning Platform with compact form factor, enabling network operators to reduce operating costs and consolidate data traffic over one infrastructure.

Haliplex Pty Ltd, (http://www.haliplex.com) a leading manufacturer of innovative network edge Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) products, has announced a strategic partnership and OEM arrangement with Bayly Communications Inc. headquartered in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

As a result of an exhaustive market search, Bayly Communications chose the Haliplex HPX-1600 family of MSPP’s to brand as it’s own “OMNI-Optix” product line.  The privately labeled OMNI-Optix platform will be sold through Bayly’s worldwide network of sales representatives, system integrators, and value added resellers.

The Haliplex HPX-1600 edge access platforms combine add-drop multiplexing (ADM), cross connect switching (DACS), channel bank, CSU/DSU, and Ethernet tributaries with STM-1 (OC-3) trunk speeds into a 16-slot, 1RU modular platform - the first of its kind on the market.  Haliplex products can be deployed as part of existing or entirely new SONET/SDH fibre or copper-based transmission systems.

“We conducted a thorough survey and determined that the Haliplex solution was far-and-away the best fit for us, and that they offer the most value for our customers,” says Ian Graham, Product Manager, Bayly Communications.  “The OMNI-Optix will lead the industry with their compact design and full complement of features.  These products will allow Bayly’s customers to take full advantage of the converged corporate and fixed-wireless networks.”

Operators of private fibre, fixed wireless, and carrier networks gain a distinct advantage by deploying Haliplex products.  The HPX-1600 platforms feature an extremely compact design with ultra-high feature density and the ability to support traditional infrastructures while allowing for the migration to next-generation functionality.  Haliplex also offers additional required features in these environments including ease of use and deployment, centralized node management, and critical safety features such as high availability, trunk protection, and non-stop operation.

“We are very excited to be working with Bayly Communications,” says David Drew, CEO of Haliplex, Pty Ltd.  “Haliplex and Bayly share a common vision for the MSPP market space and we are proud to be added to the high-quality Bayly product offering.”

Haliplex products allow operators to lower both capital and operational expenses for establishing and running telecommunications networks.  The highly consolidated products from Haliplex include a wide variety of digital data and voice transmission service capabilities in a single unit.  This gives network operators the benefits of managing and supporting fewer network devices and dramatically simplifying their administration overheads.

Haliplex has an established customer base throughout Asia and the Middle East.  The partnership with Bayly Communications will open up additional worldwide markets including North America, Europe, and Latin America.
