Haliplex Appoints Asian Distributor, Exchange 14/48

Melbourne-based communications equipment developer and manufacturer, Haliplex Communication Systems, has formed a partnership with Hong Kong-based Internet infrastructure provider, Unitech Networks, to market its products to SME and residential markets in Asia Pacific. Unitech has operations in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan and partners in other regions.

Haliplex was founded in 1999. Its flagship product is the HPX-300-SS, an access multiplexer for carrier networks that, it is claimed, provides in a 1RU high 19 inch chassis, the functionality of units which typically occupy an entire cabinet.

According to Haliplex, the product enables carriers to “profitably scale modern high-speed managed networks to large corporates, small medium enterprises and residential customers while maintaining operational simplicity”.
